What are the recommended system (computer/tablet) requirements to run Ohmni WebApp?

Recommended System Requirements

CPU and RAM

• Intel i5 2.4GHz Quad Core CPU or faster
• 4 GB of RAM

OS and Browser

• Window 7 or Mac OSX 10.9 and above using the latest Chrome Browser. 

Network

• 3Mbps download and 3Mbps upload. 

If you are using an iPad, we recommend 6th generation and above iPad. 

Effects of low systems specifications

You should still be able to run Ohmni WebApp even if you do not have the recommended specs as long as supported browsers are used. Depending on your system, some effects of using a lower system specs device are reduced video quality and audio quality and increased network latency. 

What to check for if you are encountering bad Ohmni video/audio/movement

If you have the recommended systems requirements and is still experiencing consistently bad performance, check the following, 

• CPU or network intensive applications running on your device, e.g. streaming video application, gaming/graphics applications, too many Chrome browser tabs open.
• Network intensive applications running on the same network as your device, e.g. video streaming, video conferencing, online gaming or large downloads and uploads. 

If your local device and network checks out fine, the problem may be on the Ohmni Robot side network. Contact the network administrator on the Ohmni side to find out what are the bandwidth availability and restrictions.
